Why we started Vantage Point Financials

We met in Bali, both working on our own online projects while trying to figure out the financial side of running a business from abroad.

The struggle was real. Finding accountants who understood e-commerce fees. Explaining what Stripe was to traditional bookkeepers. Dealing with multi-currency chaos. Wondering if we were doing our taxes right.

We realised that the skills we'd learned in our accounting and finance degrees could actually help people like us. Founders building real businesses online, often from a laptop in a cafe somewhere, who just needed someone to make the numbers make sense.

So we built Vantage Point Financials. A service designed specifically for online founders, by people who understand the lifestyle.

Ty - Co-founder

Ty

Co-founder

Ty has a degree in Accounting and Finance. After working at a Big Four firm for three years, he realised corporate life wasn't for him. He started freelancing, then built his own e-commerce business, and eventually landed in Bali where he discovered a whole community of founders who needed help with their finances.

Ty handles the bookkeeping side of Vantage Point Financials and has a gift for turning messy financial data into clear, organised books.

Ben - Co-founder

Co-founder

Ben studied Finance and spent four years in financial planning and analysis roles at tech startups in London. He loved the startup world but wanted more freedom. After going remote, he's worked from Lisbon, Mexico City, and now calls Canggu home.

Ben leads the dashboards and financial systems side of Vantage Point Financials. He's obsessed with helping founders understand their numbers and make better decisions.
